Every Story Counts
Life is full of opportunities. Some you create, some just come your way. This opportunity has just come your way! My prayer is that as you have this book placed in your hands you would take advantage of this journey.
When Jesus started to pen my own personal journey of faith and ministry, He instructed me to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto me.” His righteousness is what this book is about. I can’t become what He intends for me to be without seeking Him first. Seeking Him first has been the driving force for my own personal life, and I would not trade this adventure for anything in the world even, when there are days and moments that I do not understand.
One of the things that Jesus has defiantly added to my life are significant relationships. Ann, Maci, and London are the greatest gifts that God has given to me. They have embraced being “all in” in youth ministry. Another significant relationship that Christ orchestrated is with my friend Reggie Dabbs. Our friendship is very unique because over the years he has shared his ministry and stage with so many XM Productions students. These opportunities have shaped and molded so many students’ lives. Relationships are a vital part of life.
This journey over the past thirty years has been full of the things recorded in this book. Here is what I must challenge you with for action. Always in life someone is going to have the pen. On this one thing you get to choose. Will you take the pen yourself or will you give Jesus the pen? My driving life focus has been to have the pen of my life in Jesus’ hands. Asking Him to write what He desires to be in my life. You can do that as well. Go on this journey with Jesus Christ.
